Your agent acts for every customer. Each call should act for one.
When your product's agents act inside customers' accounts, Alter runs the connection to each account, limits every call to the customer it is for, and lets customers approve risky actions before they run.
Building this yourself means an OAuth flow and token refresh for every provider, a store holding every customer's tokens, logic that keeps one customer's request from reaching another's account, approvals, and an audit trail your customers' security teams will ask for. Most of that is the same for every product, and none of it is what your customers pay you for.
Customers connect their own accounts
The Connect widget runs sign-in and consent for 140+ services. Alter stores and refreshes the tokens and injects them into each proxied call, and proxy-only agent keys never retrieve the credential.
Every call scoped to one customer
Each call runs against one customer's connection, and policy checks its endpoint, method and parameters before it runs. Anything not allowed is refused.
Customers stay in control
Risky actions can wait for the customer's approval, customers can see and revoke their connections in the Alter Wallet, and every call is recorded.
Security reviews, answered
Per-call policy, approvals and an append-only audit trail that streams to your SIEM give your customers' security teams the answers they ask for.
